The school, as a community serving humanity, is active in a wide variety of community-based projects where pupils, by their involvement in helping those less able than themselves, develop caring and tolerant natures, respectful of diversity. The school is involved with the weekly collection of vegetables for a soup kitchen run by the co-workers of Mother Theresa and the senior girls work for ‘Meals-on-Wheels’ at the end of the fourth term each year. The school’s Interact Club, open to girls from Grade 8 to Grade 12, is also active in supporting needy projects. Each class in the school, together with the Class Mom and Class Teacher, supports a chosen charity by collecting needed items, or by visiting or working for the project. Each class also provides Christmas hampers for a local outreach project. |
