At Maris Stella, every attempt is made to offer a wide variety of extramural activities.

We trust that our girls will enjoy the variety, based on pupil interest and staff expertise, and that they will remain committed to their choice for the duration of that activity.

SPORTING ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE

FACILITIES   

Maris Stella has extensive facilities, which include 4 multi-purpose Netball/Tennis courts, I dedicated Netball court, 2 midi hockey fields and a 12 lane swimming pool.

All activities take place at school except Badminton (N.B.A Hall), High School Indoor-hockey (old Mutual Sports Hall) and Hockey (Durban University fields).

This year we will celebrate the opening of our own Indoor multi-purpose Sports Centre, which will bring our Badminton and Indoor-hockey home.

HOUSES

There are 3 School Houses at Maris Stella:

• Ambrose – yellow
• Marian – blue
• Patrician – green

Annually there are numerous Inter-house activities arranged where the girls get to represent their houses and compete for the coveted House and Spirit Trophies.
